Hello! I'm Amanda Long, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to serving families through compassionate, culturally sensitive mental health care. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and have been practicing as a PMHNP since 2019, with over a decade of nursing experience beginning in 2011. My educational foundation also includes a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois in Springfield, which broadened my understanding of human behavior and community dynamics. My journey in mental health has taken me through diverse settings that have shaped my comprehensive approach to care. I've worked in psychiatric emergency services at a major hospital, 23-hour crisis stabilization units, outpatient clinics, correctional facilities, and forensic mental health centers, including fitness-to-stand-trial evaluations. This varied experience has equipped me to understand mental health from multiple perspectives and meet people wherever they are in their journey, whether they're facing an acute crisis or seeking ongoing support. I specialize in medication management for individuals across the lifespan—from children and adolescents to adults and older adults. My treatment areas include depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related conditions, psychotic disorders, and other mental health concerns. I'm experienced in both telehealth and in-person care, making quality psychiatric services accessible and convenient for your lifestyle. What drives me is the belief that everyone deserves competent, caring mental health support that honors their unique background and circumstances. I'm committed to improving the communities I serve, one individual and family at a time, through evidence-based practice combined with genuine human connection. My approach centers on partnership and creating a safe environment for healing. I look forward to supporting you and your family's wellness journey.
Hi! I am a board certified DNP-PMHNP-BC. I started my career in traditional health practices as a Fulbright Scholar in Sochi, Russia. I presented my research at the US Embassy in Moscow. Following the completion of my grant I attended New York University (NYU). From there I completed a residency at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas. Following this I entered and completed my doctorate at USD University of San Diego, California with a focus on digital telehealth treatment for psychiatric care. I have a passion for working with the veteran population and those seeking care outside the box. I recently completed my facilitation for psychadelic assisted therapy and have an additional practice in Denver, Colorado. I enjoy yoga, swimming and all the water sports!

Welcome!
I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who believes mental health is just as important as physical health. I know that seeking help can feel intimidating, and I want to commend you for taking this first step.
I specialize in working with adults ages 18 to 65 who are dealing with ADHD, anxiety, and depression. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care. I offer psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing support through secure telehealth appointments, making it easier to access care that fits your lifestyle.
Dr. Chihombori-Quao (CHEE-hom-bow-REE KWOW) is a psychiatrist with dual board certification in Psychiatry and Family Medicine who delivers compassionate, multidisciplinary, and trauma-informed care via tele-health in California.
She graduated from Yale School of Medicine in 2018 and completed residency in UC Davis’ selective Combined Family Medicine and Psychiatry Residency in 2023. Since then, she has continued to work in numerous settings including Public Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, and Correctional Psychiatry.
When she’s not enjoying her life’s work, she enjoys music, dancing, volleyball, basketball, and spending time with her family and pets (she devotes a significant amount of time to petting animals!).
I know how heavy life can feel when you’re carrying pain, uncertainty, or self-doubt. But I believe, as a wise old wizard once said, “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of places, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” My role is to help you find that light again. I work with Gen Z and Millennial adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and more. Through integrative, culturally responsive care, I combine evidence-based psychiatry with holistic strategies to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered to create a life that aligns with your true self.
