Anxiety and perfectionism have turned your mind into a battleground. Your inner critic nitpicks every interaction, leaving you exhausted by thoughts of “Damnit, why can’t I just be better!” Painful memories get louder, no matter how hard you try to ignore them. Daily invalidations of your Latina, queer, or immigrant identity sting, and you feel isolated as you keep your suffering to yourself. You’ve tried everything: doom scrolling, drinking, and self-help books, but nothing has worked. You're left feeling hopeless and weighed down.
There are multiple forms and layers of oppression that impact our daily lives and self worth. I support clients in acknowledging and addressing shame, grief, trauma, and anxiety. I specialize in issues concerning gender, sexuality, intimacy, relationships, and identity. As your therapist, I act as a support working collaboratively alongside you to identify goals, action steps and interventions tailored specifically to your individual needs and identity.
I’m a licensed therapist trained in somatic psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies. I work with individuals, couples, and men, supporting clients with anxiety (including social anxiety), depression, ADHD, relationship challenges, trauma, and life transitions. I also help people navigating loneliness, work-related stress, and cultural or identity-related experiences, including multiracial relationships. My goal is to help people better understand themselves, their patterns, and how they relate to others. I tend to be warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative, while also being direct when it’s helpful.
Hello! I'm Dr. Miriam Adrianowicz. As a psychologist, my role is being your partner on your path to greater wellbeing. I believe the bedrock of this partnership is your sense of safety within it, and it is from this safe place that change begins to feel possible. I believe that the quality and strength of our partnership has a great impact on how effective our work is together, and our first step forward is developing a relationship in which you feel secure and empowered.
Mental health and physical health impact each other profoundly. I have a keen understanding of that with years of experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Family Nurse Practitioner at the same time. I specialize in depressive, mood, anxiety disorders, and ADHD. I am fascinated with integrative medicine and oriental philosophy and their utility in current evidence-based psychotherapy.

Hello & Welcome! My work is insight-oriented and focused on meaningful internal change, not just symptom management. I am a compassionate and experienced clinical psychologist and educator licensed in California with additional certifications in NLP & Ericksonian therapeutic hypnosis. Queer, gender fluid and femme folks at the intersection of gender, sexual & relational diversity (GSRD) + cultural diversity + neurodiversity are my primary focus. Alt high achievers in tech, medicine, mental health, academia and the creative arts are some of the folks I work with. A main diagnostic specialization is anxiety, our modern-day malady. I am a founding member of Bay Area Open Minds, therapists affirming GSRD as well as the author of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Journal. Eurasian Filipino-American, I am inclusive and embracing in my approach. Note: San Francisco office hours Wednesday-Friday. Zoom Monday-Friday. You’re doing your best, and yet things aren’t landing the way you hoped. You put in the effort and care deeply, but something feels off, like your intentions don’t translate into the outcomes you want. You might find yourself asking, “What am I missing?” That gap can feel frustrating, confusing, and isolating. I work with clients who often feel misunderstood, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to show up as their full, authentic selves. Many are navigating chronic or invisible illness, neurodivergence, emotional regulation challenges, identity shifts, relationship stress, or difficulties at work or school.
