My career has allowed me to work across diverse age groups, from children to seniors, in various settings including non-profit organizations, crisis centers, and major hospitals in NYC. When I was growing up, I always thought I wasn’t dealt a good hand in life. I had family issues that would top any reality tv show to date. I often felt like there was no one I could really open up to and share my inner thoughts and feelings with. I was wearing “masks” before the pandemic, always smiling when deep down I wanted to cry. I tried therapy a couple times and it just didn’t work for me. I felt like I wasn’t understood, that I was being judged. I decided to give it another shot and found my match, a therapist that looked like me, that could relate to me and my struggle. It felt genuine and not forced. That’s what made me want to get into the field of Social Work. Now, with 8 years of professional experience, I live out my purpose every day as a guide to help people unlock the tools of empowerment that they already possess. Whatever the issue, (whether it be getting through everyday life, coming to terms with past traumas, getting over a bad break-up, parenting/abandonment issues, lack of self-esteem, or a host of other problems), my eclectic approach to therapy will allow you to embark on a journey of self-reflection, self-love, and self-care. I look forward to helping you find your inner peace while getting closer to your winning hand in life.
