I have 10+ years of experience working with preteens, teens, and adults in both clinical and non-clinical manners. I began my career as a therapist working at and developing a clinical program within a public school system. Additionally, I worked for a company which provided Intensive In-Community (IIC) Services for youth and families in Bergen County. These career opportunities have rewarded me with a wealth of knowledge in areas of anxiety, depression, ADHD, family and peer conflict, school avoidance and life transitions for preteens, teens, and even young adults.
Welcome! Allow me to introduce myself! I am a dually licensed professional counselor and I used a combination of CBT and client centered approaches to help my clients! - it wouldn’t be unlike me to ask what your “theme song” is! I’ve been working in the mental health field for over 20 years using play, music and art to facilitate growth! Occasionally my kitty Booger likes to pop up and say hi!
You’re doing everything “right”—but still feel disconnected, anxious, or on edge. I’m Geri Lopez, a trauma and attachment-based therapist and certified yoga teacher. I support first-gen womxn of color, queer adults, and working moms who are tired of overthinking, overgiving, and feeling like they’ve disappeared behind everyone else’s needs. My approach is culturally affirming, trauma-informed, and somatic—together, we’ll help you reconnect with your body, your needs, and your voice.
Hi! My name is Jillian and I am a licensed social worker. I work primarily with adults and young adults (18+) to help manage topics such as anxiety, stress and life transitions. I also have a strong background in supporting those who may be navigating medical challenges like chronic or terminal illness.
Therapist with more than 20 years experience. My goal is to improve the enjoyment of all things that life has to offer! I can be direct but believe that you always need to find the humor in things to get by!
I work with children, teens, and young adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure of themselves. I know it can be hard to open up, especially if you’re used to holding things in. I’ve seen how powerful it is when people feel truly heard and supported.
I currently support middle and high school students in a therapeutic school setting and continue to provide in home therapy and family-based therapy; as well as facilitate process groups for adolescents and parent support groups.
I focus on challenges on anxiety, mood changes, trauma, and self-esteem challenges- areas that can deeply impact how someone sees themselves and moves through the world.
I am bilingual in English and Spanish and value creating a culturally responsive and welcoming space. Therapy with me is collaborative — we move at your pace, but we also work toward real growth. You don’t have to have everything figured out to start. We’ll work through it together.
