Hi! I am a licensed clinical social worker. It would be my privilege to be able to work with you to help to guide you on your journey toward discovery and self acceptance. I have been a practicing Psychotherapist for over 30 years. I possess great empathy, keen insight and am honest and direct with my feedback.
I hold a masters degree in Mental Health Counseling as well as a post graduate certificate in Trauma Studies. I have worked in multiple levels of care including inpatient, residential, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization. I have work with a multitude of different populations and diagnosis including anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, eating disorders schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders.
I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2002. Having worked in healthcare and academic settings, I appreciate being part of a treatment team and am available to coordinate care with other providers when beneficial. Rather than see 'how many problems' a person may be facing... I see 'how many ways things can get better'. I value working with folks to see their puzzle from a different angle and to use tools to clarify, change and improve the picture.
