I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in individual and couples therapy. I have over twenty years of experience working with a wide variety of clinical problems. I am most interested in working with individuals who are curious about themselves and who believe that they may find some relief from their struggles by examining their thoughts and feelings in the context of their relational history.
Hello! Here is my short & sweet elevator pitch....well virtual elevator pitch. I have worked primarily with children & adolescents for 6 years in hospital, outpatient and school settings. I have experience with children in active crisis, emotional distress, trauma, homelessness, foster care & those with various learning disabilities. I use humor to get to know my patients, and you can always count on me to crack a joke about myself to lighten the mood.
Tatiana Michel is a licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of experience across a range of mental health settings. Her experience includes working with children and adults on communication issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, academic underachievement, transitions, personal growth, behavioral issues, as well as self-identity issues. She also work with clients who identify as spiritual or religious.
I am a psychiatrist with years of further training and experience in psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. I treat a wide array of issues, ranging from anxiety, depression, grief, problems in intimate relationships, and chronic dissatisfaction to a general sense of malaise. I also work with patients who are experiencing confusion about their feelings and an inability to make important decisions, and who thereby feel stuck and unable to move forward. In addition, I help patients going through a crisis or a life transition that may lead to an increased burden of demands requiring change.
I work with patients to help them recount and revisit their life's story and create a new narrative that works better for them. In that spirit, I don't give overt advice, instructions, or quick solutions, but instead encourage them to arrive at their own solutions after carefully exploring the roots of their current problems.
I have a judicious approach to prescribing medications when warranted to support the work of therapy.
I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely understood, not analyzed or rushed. My approach is relational, thoughtful, and collaborative. I take time to really get to know you, your story, and the patterns that have shaped how you think, feel, and relate to others.
I work with individuals and couples who may feel stuck in anxiety, relationship uncertainty, emotional overwhelm, or old wounds that continue to show up in the present. Many of my clients are high functioning, introspective, and self-aware, yet still feel conflicted, exhausted, or disconnected underneath. Together, we slow things down, make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.

I am experienced in working with diverse groups of adults at varying stages of their lives who bring a variety of personal and relational challenges to therapy. My goals are to help you increase your level of self-awareness, enhance your relationships, develop tools to cope with life stressors, and ultimately optimize your mental health. We are all entitled to live our most authentic life; I am here to support you on this journey.
My work involves helping you to find what is missing and how we can work together to get what you need.
My guiding values are liberation and justice, and I strive to serve those values with everything I do as a therapist. I've been working in non-profit organizations with the LGBTQ+ community, people with a psychiatric diagnosis and unhoused people since 2006, and started practicing as a psychotherapist in 2018. My practice is focused on healing the trauma and attachment wounds that underly depression, anxiety and other challenges that limit our capacity to thrive.
I'm a licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience who enjoys helping people discover that something different is possible. Early in my career, I gained experience working in a variety of community mental health settings. I enjoy working with adults with all kinds of concerns. Some of my current clinical interests include trauma, grief and loss, and couples therapy. Taking the first step to get connected to a therapist can be difficult and anxiety provoking. If you're struggling and hoping to make a change I encourage you to reach out for a consultation.
