I am an EMDR certified, Licensed Professional Counselor with over 7 years of experience supporting children, teens and adults. I specialize in helping clients who are ready to work through past trauma and develop healthy coping skills to support emotional regulation and self-esteem. I primarily work with adults experiencing symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression and ADHD.
Many of the solutions we seek are already inside of us. They can be hard to find, but it is possible. Using talk therapy and emotional regulation skills, we’ll work together to identify goals and practices that fit with the life you’re eager to live. I will provide compassionate, steady support as you navigate anxiety, depression, family or relationship challenges, recovery from addiction, and the impacts of ADHD.
I tailor therapy to meet your individual needs and always consider cultural and social context. I also collaborate with other therapists to offer educational and support groups several times a year. Using a combination of physical, emotional, and cognitive tools, we’ll work to improve daily functioning, strengthen coping skills, and increase the joy and ease in your life.
I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Regis University, and I work with adults across a variety of life stages and transitions.
Let's face it: life can be an absolute rollercoaster. Sometimes you're coasting smoothly, and sometimes you're staring straight down a terrifying drop. If you're feeling overwhelmed by a crisis, suffocated by anxiety or depression, tangled up in family issues, or burned out by occupational stress, you don't have to white-knuckle it alone.
I’m Tawny Meyers, and I specialize in meeting people exactly where they are—especially when they feel like they're standing in the middle of a messy pile of problems. I believe the most effective therapy is built on a foundation of genuine connection, warmth, and, yes, a little bit of humor. We’ll definitely laugh sometimes, because let's be honest, if we can't find a way to laugh, we're probably crying.
25+ years of experience with individual, couples and families supporting them through all life stages and challenges. including neurodiversity in children and adults, blended and separating families, anxiety, depression, and grief and loss.
I believe therapy should feel like a conversation where you're heard, supported, and never judged. Clients often tell me they feel comfortable opening up with me because I bring both empathy and real-world tools into each session. I know that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all—so I tailor my approach to fit you, not just the diagnosis.
You should know that I genuinely care about helping you build a more balanced, empowered life—whether that means learning to manage anxiety, navigating ADHD, working through past trauma, improving your relationships, or finding your voice in your own story. I’ll show up for you consistently, with compassion, honesty, and a strong belief that change is always possible—even when it doesn’t feel that way yet.
In session, my main focus is you, your story, your goals, your healing, and your well-being. I take an eclectic, client-based approach to our time together and try to mold my presence in the room to match your needs in a non-judgmental and empathetic way.
Maybe you've tried to manage it on your own and are still struggling. That's not a failure. That's a sign that what you need is a space where you get to discover your own strengths. Whether you're working through something related to substance use, depression, anxiety, or just life stress, the answers aren't somewhere outside of you. They're within you.
