Hello, I’m Dr. LaKedra L. Brown, a Licensed Professional Counselor committed to providing a supportive and nonjudgmental space for healing and growth. I hold a Doctorate in Family Studies, a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology, and I am also a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and Certified Biblical Counselor. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, anger management concerns, emotional regulation challenges, relationship issues, and life transitions. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and goal-oriented, focusing on practical strategies that promote lasting emotional well-being.
I've been working with individuals and families for about 3 years. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in Texas, and I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Tarleton State University. I have a good understanding of neurodivergent needs in both adolescents and adults, and I’ve also helped people manage mood disorders, anxiety, and self-harm. As a proud member of the LGBTQI+ community, I bring my personal experience and insights to my work with queer clients.
Helen Kuffour, FNP/ PMHNP-BC
Ms. Helen Kuffour is a graduate from University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Where she obtained her master’s and her post-master’s. She is dual certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She has over 15 years of nursing experience across variety of setting including, inpatient and outpatient psychiatric facilities.
Her attentive listening and compassionate nature are great qualities in caring for her patients.
I am best suited for working with women experiencing life transitions, grief, relationship challenges, work/relationship/motherhood balance, and impacts of trauma. Many women are on autopilot, leaving you feeling overwhelmed, depleted, and burnt out. I integrate somatic practices such as EMDR (trauma healing) and yoga into therapy, recognizing the importance of the mind-body connection in healing.
Amanda is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors. She holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CACREP-accredited) and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, both from the University of Memphis.
Her path to counseling was shaped by a genuine passion for advocacy. Before and during her graduate studies, Amanda worked at Naval Support Activity Mid-South supporting military families, volunteered at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, and gained hands-on experience serving children and families across clinical and community settings. She has since built a career working with diverse populations — children, adolescents, and adults — and collaborates within multidisciplinary teams to ensure well-rounded, thoughtful care for every client.
Amanda's work is driven by one core belief: that with the right support, people have room to grow.
