I received a BSW from the University of North Texas in 1990 and an MSW from the University of Maryland in 1993 and have worked in the fields of community mental health, grief and loss, foster care and adoption, trauma recovery, depression, anxiety, and Bipolar Disorder. I specialize in Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
I am certified in Brainspotting and Critical Incident Stress Management and am recognized as a Certified Trauma Treatment Specialist by the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists.
Something that stands out in regard to me is that I have gathered some valuable wisdom over the years from many excellent mentors and life experience as an educator, vocational ministry, raising my own family, and having worked with many gifted and compassionate people.
My clients describe me as understanding ("getting them as individuals"), caring and collaborative , and a safe place to share what they need to share.
I'm the type of therapist that is very supportive of every person's different situation.
My job is to help you become the best person that you can be.
My job is to allow you to fix your problems but not tell you what you need to do.
Hello, I'm Ceselie, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) who believes in fostering a therapeutic relationship built on compassion, hope, and authenticity. It is an honor to walk alongside you through times of struggle and personal growth, recognizing the courage and vulnerability it takes to seek support.
I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology from The University of Texas at Tyler. My professional experience spans inpatient and outpatient mental health, group practice, higher education, and psychological testing and assessment, all of which have shaped my understanding of mental health and personal well-being.
Seeking help can feel overwhelming, and I want you to know you do not have to navigate it alone. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and understood. I work with adolescents and adults facing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, stress, and other mental health concerns. My approach is collaborative and personalized, with a focus on listening well, building trust, and creating a treatment plan that supports your overall well-being. My hope is that every client feels respected, encouraged, and empowered on their journey toward healing.
I would describe myself as warm, creative, and affirming. I am a somatic-based therapist trained in EMDR and Somatic Experiencing. In 2016, I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas. I have worked with a variety of individuals in hospital and outpatient settings. I see clients between the ages of 13 and 75 and am a LGBTQIQA+ ally.
I am here to help you meet your personal goals regarding your mental health.
