

I have worked as a mental health profession for over 30 in private practice, as a school psychologist, and as professor. Prior to being in mental health I worked in the corporate world, so I bring a variety of experience to our work together.
Hi! My name is Lenaida "Lennie" Rodriguez. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). I work with children ages 12+, teens, individual adults, couples and families. Some speciality areas are couples work, grief and loss, substance abuse, perinatal mental health. I am bilingual and have a deep passion for assisting in enhancing the lives of others and empowering them to identify their strengths to overcome their personal obstacles.
I am originally from the Rio Grande Valley and moved to San Antonio to pursue my education and identify other areas of self growth. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University-San Antonio in Psychology. I continued my education and obtained a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University.
During my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, swimming, baking, and working on creative projects.

I am a very direct, cerebral introvert who likes to cut through the chase! I have expectations that people will take charge of their lives and accept personal responsibility. I love to have insightful conversations with people. I enjoy hearing people's stories. I've spent more than 20 years listening to the uniquness and perperspectives of others.
My educational background consists of earning my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Master's in clinical counseling, and a Master's in Addictions. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselr (LPCC #16395) and am a certified addictions counselor. My areas of concentration include grief and significant trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, addictions, and a sub-concentration in eating disorders.
